Demographics
After successful sequences of expending communities across the state of California, USA, LIKELION US made another impressive steps with a broad expansion with 50s colleges and 30s communities in the nation. More than 300 students and 20 mentors have joined us this class year to start their journey of learning and personal growth.
We have achieved very dynamic distributions within this class year. What the most amazing fact is that our community has very balanced STEM vs. Non-STEM (see below). The community is possible to misrepresented as a community solely for STEM majors easily because LIKELION US provides programming courses. However, we want to emphasize that with our beginner-friendly program, people regardless of their majors or experiences can learn to code, build experiences, and connect with a network of diverse individuals.

[11/02/23] Student staff members and mentors Kick-off meeting
During this period, our team of student staff members studied the LIKELION US curriculum in preparation. The curriculum covers various areas such as planning, design (basic design theory, Figma), programming (HTML, CSS, JS, Django, Python, React, etc.), as well as special workshops hosted by our mentors (career talks, resume workshops, etc.).
[11/16/2023] 3๊ธฐ (Class of 2023-2024) Ideathon
Students worked on developing ideas to solve existing problems. They gained valuable experience in building services from the ground up.
Drawing in over 200 talented student members from 28 universities across the United States, this even buzzed with incredible ideas! 43 teams pitched their idea in the final round of this Ideathon.

[01/27/2024 ~ 01/28/2024] LIKELION US 2nd Hackathon powered by Paado
The LIKELION US hackathon was held on January 27-28, 2024 at the metaverse platform, SOMA to enhance community involvement beyond geographical constraints. LIKELION US members from 43 universities in the United States engaged in the event, contributing their creativity and crafting inventive solutions. This hackathon not only allowed participants to demonstrate their skills and collaborate with peers but also facilitated career opportunities through a job fair and coffee chat with sponsoring companies. The virtual setting transcended physical limitations, fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment. The winning teams and other details are found in our Instagram post, check it out!
ย Media[05/31/2024] The Last Day of Class of 2023-2024 (3๊ธฐ)
Members who fulfilled the requirements will be awarded a certificate of completion. LIKELION US alumni will gain exclusive access to networks and opportunities such as job fairs, referrals, and demo days with VCs.

During this period, students will work on team projects, utilizing the knowledge they gain throughout their learning with our program. Also, we are excited to announce that we are planning the Ideathon in collaboration with professionals from Silicon valley and LIKELION US student members.
